Description
Owen Jones’ The Grammar of Ornament (1856) was a rallying cry to modern designers: the foundation of good design lies in the grammar of the ancient decorative arts.
This exclusive rug, inspired by a series of mosaics which Jones himself sketched in the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, is especially significant because it draws on both Greek and Roman influence.
Each product is handmade and therefore unique; each may contain variations in colour and texture.
Composition: 80% silk and 20% wool cut pile
Colours
The central colour can be either Slate or Rainette Green.
